There are hundreds of excellent books which deal with the superiority of the King James Version and the Received Text, but it is a little known fact that all of the modern bibles promote evolution in one way or another.
Nearly all modern bibles trace their history to Adamantius Origen, a second century philosopher in Alexandria, Egypt who is known for "editing" Bible manuscripts. He had many heretical beliefs, including that Eden was only symbolic. His editing involved changing any part of the text which conflicted with his strange beliefs.Two Cambridge professors, named BF Westcott and FJA Hort, began work on a Greek NT which became the basis for all the modern Bibles. These two men had no business handling a Bible much less compiling and translating one. Westscott and Hort were new age spiritists who founded a club called the Ghostly Guild. They worshipped Mary, denied the infallibility of Scripture and of course, believed in evolution. Hort writes in 1860:
The book which has most engaged me is Darwin. ... it is a book that one is
proud to be contemporary with..... My feeling is strong that the theory is unanswerableWestcott said in 1890:
No one now, I suppose, holds that the first three chapters of Genesis give a literal history- I could never understand how anyone reading them with open eyes could think that they did.They used an evolutionary philosophy in deciding which manuscripts to use. As birds of a feather, they relied almost exclusively on two of Origen's corrupted manuscripts; one of which, Sianaticus was found in a trash can. (a good place for it). The other, Vaticanus, came from the Vatican Library which should clue you in on the Catholic connection. Understanding this history, makes it easy to see the source for the evolutionary bias evident in all the modern bibles.
The evolutionists don't get past the first verse:In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Gen 1:1All the new Bibles change heaven to heavens allowing verse one to refer to an indefinite period of time, which would allow for the evolutionary ages. the beginning was a point in time, in fact the very point at which time began.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were THE FIRST DAY. Genesis 1:5THE FIRST DAY is changed to read one day which again could refer to just any day.
Gen 1:25 is altered in many versions to say that God created wild animals. Now if you don't immediately see the problem here it just shows how evolutionary philosophy affects you without your realizing it. The Bible makes it clear that all the animals ate plants and were under man's dominion. Theistic evolutionists teach that death, bloodshed and extinction were natural parts of God's creation so you can see their fingerprints on this verse.
Evolutionists don't believe that man has ever seen a dinosaur, so they remove the word dragon from all the new bibles and replace it with the ridiculous mistranslation Jackal. The new bibles take the same Hebrew word and translate it jackal in one place and sea monster in another.
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox....
He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
Job 40:15,17Here the NIV translators go so far as to accuse God of not knowing which end the tail goes on! In their note on verse 17 they say tail really should be trunk. Who is speaking in verse 15-17? GOD IS!!!
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12:40Many people say that the word whale in this verse is a mistranslation and they are quick to chop it out of all the new bibles. But the greek word which God preserved as whale is Ketos. Ask any Biology teacher what is the scientific name for the study of whales, and he will tell you Cetology.
And finally, most new Bibles have completely removed the word science.
Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
Daniel 1:4Of course since Daniel was a preacher, we can't say he understood science! So they chop it out.
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
