The Creation Message in the Last Days

There is a common thread running through the Scriptures related to the last days, namely a departure from the truth of God as Creator. The Bible predicts this in a number of places.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1).
There are many doctrines of devils that we could talk about here, but the one specifically which causes people to depart from the faith is found on the next page of the same letter:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen. (1 Timothy 6:20,21).

False science, namely evolution is clearly the devil’s doctrine, and many believers are “professing to be wise” and becoming the devil’s fools by falling for his lies. It is clear that this departure began in the churches and the churches are the first places that need to turn back to God!  Following this thread through the Scriptures we see that it gets more serious as people turn from the truth.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be...heady, highminded...Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth....For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 3:1- 2 Timothy 4:4).

Again the perilous times of the last days are directly linked to rejecting the truth of Creation and turning to fables. Fables? Fairy tales like frogs turning into people over millions of years. As the believers are seduced to depart from the faith, more and more of the lost turn from the truth and finally begin to mock the very idea of God as creator.

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (2 Peter 3:3-6).

This makes it clear that the scoffers of the last days will mock the soon return of Christ because of their ignorance of the Creation message. Now of course this ignorance is willful because they deliberately ignore the obvious evidence all around, that God created this world and destroyed it with a flood. The world finally becomes so pagan that it takes an angel to preach the creation message in Revelation 14-

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Revelation 14:6-7).

But in the mean time, while we still have the freedom to preach, We should be using the Creation message to Evangelize this lost world and stir up the saints to get busy for God before it is too late!
